breath - poems of love and loss
“lemon drizzle” - for les
i’m eating a slice
and with each bite i’m thinking
you would have loved this
so each mouthful is
sad and delicious
at the same time
Love and loss: inseparable companions, not even separate, interfused, intermingled, intertwined, pervasive aspects of the same life experience, something we all share, will all know. These poems: all too personal, all too universal, a cascading, a sharing of you with the world as well as the people we know. And these paintings: lit with hints and glimpses of the glow, the light, the colour, the life you scatter around you wherever you are.
